Spring is just around the corner and that means we need to put away those thick or chunky winter clothes and start to sharpen our Spring's wardrobe. This is the ideal time to evaluate what would you like to retain or eliminate from your wardrobe or do you need to refill your closet to create Spring capsule wardrobe. You may find very difficult or irritation along the way, but remember to keep an open, playful attitude and enjoy because creating spring wardrobe is all about experimenting and learning about yourself.
So, I've slowly started getting my spring wardrobe ready with Shein.co.uk, they have everything you need to stay on top of the trend this spring without breaking your bank. Here are two beautiful pieces from them which I'm going to wear non-stop this Spring, direct links given below and see how I style them.
Here are a few tips to help you get your Spring wardrobe ready:
Start to analyse going through your clothes one by one and create into three groups:
Keep: Clothes you are 100% sure to keep in your closet. For instance, those transitional pieces and clothes having plenty of life and you absolutely love wearing them. When you go through your fall and winter wardrobe, make sure you washed them(whether it's machine washed, hand-washed or dry cleaned) before you keep them away for the next winter.
Remove: Items you are ready to throw away, because they are worn out, you never worn them or worn only once in a year. Think of reselling if they are in good condition or give to a charity.
Alterations: Items that are flattering to you but they needed to be altered, eg. tailoring or dry cleaning.
Make a List: After you've done all the above tips, make a list of Spring essential pieces that are missing or need to be refilled. Head over to Shein.co.uk to check out some great deals for Spring's wardrobe.
Last but not the least, like I've mentioned above, creating your spring wardrobe ready doesn't need to break the bank; don't forget that it’s always better to love more and have less.
I'm sure you'll feel liberated once you have done! Following this process and being organized will help you bring clarity to your wardrobe and save you money.

Matchy-matchy two pieces are what the sartorial world called co-ords today. Recently, they have become the best trope in fashion. Although they were designed to be dressed together, they work equally great apart, more versatile than your cocktail dress or office suit and more practical than jumpsuits. Either you wear co-ords separately or matchy-matchy, they can be worn in many different looks and I'm just loving the co-ords trends. But how do we avoid looking like we have just stepped out from bed in pyjamas?? Because wearing matching sets can be quite tricky at times if you don't pick up the right styles according to you body. So, here are some style tips for nailing this season co-ords trend. Read below:
WHAT I'M WEARING: I'm wearing zara's co-ords, you can find here -- Asymmetric Jacquard Skirt & Striped Jacquard Sweater and Kurt Geiger's bag: SAFF HORIZ LONDON TOTE, White Sock Boots from HM (Sold Out) given some alternatives down below. Yellow jacket from Vintage Store (find alternatives below).
Here are some pretty co-ords I'm eyeing for Spring.
My other favourite picks from Zara: Linen Skirt with Bow Detail & Stripe Linen Top and from ASOS Co ord Knitted Skirt
How to Style Co-ords or Matching Sets?
Chose the Right Size: Just because you are size 8, don't simply pick up the sets that the store has displayed together. Experiment with sizes. Small size may fit you perfectly on top but size medium or x-small may fit better in bottoms depending on your body shape. Usually the co-ords can be purchased separately, so make sure you choose the perfect fit for both top and bottom.
Look for Versatility: Choose a style, colour and print carefully, so that they can be mixed and matched with your wardrobe. If the co-ords only work as matchy-matchy set, you may not get the full benefits of this trend. When buying a set, think how you would style them on their own, so it's essential to love both pieces.
Pick a Flattering Shape & Cut: Different styles have been designed to enhance or conceal where required to flatter one's shape. So, ensure to chose the cut and style you would be comfortable and compliments your personality. For instance, If you have a big bust, avoid tops with ruffles and frills because they will make you look bigger by giving extra volume to the bust area. A tailored jacket is a great idea for women with narrow shoulders to add some structure to your frame.
Here are some alternative pieces to help you create this look!

A knit dress or sweater dress is one of the most comfiest dress I've ever own during the winter. It is versatile, cosy and relaxed, which can be easily shifted from winter to spring, and from day to night. We usually label a knit dress or a sweater dress with a casual outfit but just by changing your footwear and accessories, you can create numbers of outfits and it is a great piece for layering during winter or in chilly spring days.
If it is a fitted style, keep things simple by wearing it alone with a pair of boots or heels, and off course with the right accessories. You may like to wear with tights or leggings if it is a loose sweater dress, however it also looks chic wearing on its own with the trainers or sneakers. Don't be afraid to put a belt on your sweater dress, because it can accentuate your beautiful curves and create a more feminine look. Here is how I style my favourite knit dress which I got from Vila Clothes, which was sold out immediately, but I've provided similar pieces of the dress and other items of this look below to help you create this look if you like it.

As the winter's chill continues to rise, gearing up your outfits for the freezing temperature by layering brings a lot of style conundrums. While your instinct tells to grab that thick woollen blanket, part of you wants to look chic and as fashionable as you can be. Accessorising and layering in winter are quite tricky, too functional and you often end up looking like you've nabbed your granny's scarf and walked out straight from bed, too chic and you take the risk of not being warm enough. So the question we often ask ourselves during winter is how to look cool and still staying warm. Here are a few tips you may like to consider when dressing for winter.
Have a Warm Base Layer: Layering is key when it comes to styling winter outfit, but you have to be clever with it. Keeping your base layer warm will assure you stay comfortable and cosy when the temperature drops. I often wear leggings and a camisole under trousers and a sweater. Thin yet warm layers close to your body does an amazing job without looking too bulky and it's great if you still wants to flaunt your feminine curves during winter. Wear it fully tucked like I did or keep it loose with your favourite winter leggings. Here are some great affordable light wool sweaters that are great for winter layering as similar to my look.
Don't Be Afraid of Colours: Sure black on black looks particularly elegant, but why not try different shades like green, pink or bright blue and make your outfit more fun and out of the crowd all-black category. Opt for a coat or jacket that falls below the knee and sits close to your body, it's streamlined silhouette usually gives that elegant and chic look.
Adorn with Statement Accessories: The main rule to look cool during winter is your accessories. While a beanie hat is the classic winter gear, don't shy away to experiment with different styles. A cashmere beret always looks chic or you should try a baker-boy hat (as seen on me) to give an edgy touch to your winter look. Nothing looks more classy than a great baker boy hat while keeping your head warm during chilly days. A statement scarf is another easy way to upscale you plain classic winter look. Bright colours and bold patterns are great ideas to start with.
Keep your Feet Warm and Catchy: Keeping your feet warm begins with picking the right cosy boots like UGG boots, but here we are talking about looking cool while staying warm, so the warmest boots may not necessarily be the best option always. Ankle boots are a great choice because they work perfectly with many different styles from dresses, skirts to jeans. But, it doesn't have to be only black or brown, as mentioned earlier don't be afraid to play with colours and textures. These white ankle boots elevated my whole outfit to a complete new level, however if you are in colder places you may like to go for thicker platforms or soles. In my previous post Weekend Outfit Ideas That Will Take You Everywhere this Fall, I've also mentioned how versatile white ankle boots can be. If you haven't seen the post yet, don't forget to check it out.
Lastly, don't forget that cool girls are all about staying true to themselves, so don't pay too much attention to trends. Regardless of trends, go for something that suits your personality and comfortable to you. Hope you enjoy reading this post. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
