Three Ways to Wear Cigarette Pants

BeFunky Collage

If you ask me to choose one thing that I can’t live with in my wardrobe currently, it has to be my cigarette pants. A timeless wardrobe piece that stands out effortlessly from day to evening. This tailored ankle grazer trousers is super versatile and can go with almost anything. People often associated this kind of tailored pants just for formal wear or workwear, but the truth is it can be worn in many different styles from shopping to night out.

So, today I’ll show you three different ways to wear cigarette pants. These looks are just a few examples to make use of your one wardrobe piece in various ways, but it is not limited from these three looks, feel free to use your creativity and make your own statement outfit. My last post was nothing about fashion but something very personal, if you haven’t seen it yet, check it HERE.

Coffee Date to Night Out: For a day out to cocktails, I pair it up with an off shoulder top and a pair of comfy strappy-heels for a very relax and sassy look. It looks fabulous with a cropped top as well, as it accentuates your feminine silhouette.

Office Chic: For a smart work wear, I pair it with a classic white shirt tucked neatly for a sleek silhouette and finished the look with an off-white  sling back pumps. If you are more comfortable with flats, you can opt for oxford shoes or smart loafers.

Weekenders: A simple white t-shirt with a fitted pair of trousers is a fashion formula that never fails. So, for a weekend look, I like to pair it with a loose t-shirt and trainers. Since the weather is still little chilly here, I put on a denim jacket to give more edgy chic vibes. Using a cross body bag is a good idea to create shape.

  10. I love all 3 outfits, Ashon, you have such great style! I love how you’ve shown how cigarette trousers can be either dressed up or down, making the most out of what would typically be labeled work wear. It gives those of us who work during the week and extension of our wardrobes! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful weekend, beautiful!

  22. I’m always happy when I see that I got something that I can wear in a million different ways, then it doesn’t feel like a waste of money at a moment of weakness, but a smart investment. Love your suggestions for the trousers. 🙂
