My Top Picks for Autumn from Prettylittlething

Can you believe it’s already the end of August?? Feels like a few weeks ago I was very excited preparing my wardrobe for summer and now it’s almost Autumn, well….time flies real quick!  But to be honest I’m kind of happy that summer is coming to an end! Don’t get me wrong, I do love summer, but Autumn/Fall is my favourite season to get dressed. The idea of reinstating layering and experimenting with different patterns and outfit pieces is exciting. I love that it’s cool enough to wear a dress and a blazer or a sweater with jeans, and warm enough to go bare legs and boots or open shoes. So, I’m very thrilled to begin building my Autumn wardrobe and I intend to make the most of this season.

But here is that awkward moment when it’s still little early to go completely to Autumn/fall shopping and you don’t want to break your bank account on more summer pieces. So here are a few items I’ve picked up from that are ideal for the transition and are great for layering styles. PrettyLittleThing Jumpsuit ,   H&M LaceUp Heels (Sold Out) Similar HereBoilersuit: That’s right, the utility jumpsuit is still going big. It’s an instant outfit without much efforts. A boilersuit can be easily dressed up with heels  or dressed down with sneakers depending on where you are heading to. There are plenty of styles ranging from oversized khaki to tailored wool blends available today to choose from. This pale pink utility jumpsuit from  is one of my favourites. The fit of it is slightly oversized and satisfyingly boxy which is just I need from a boilersuit. As comfortable and relaxed as it looks, it sure does maintain statement appeal.

Floral Dress: We can’t say goodbye to our pretty floral dresses just yet. They are infact the AKA trans-seasonal wardrobe pieces. We can just change sandals into tall boots and a blazer over the dress to adapt the cooler weather of Fall. This floral puff-sleeves dress from Prettylittlething is Fall appropriate for many occasions, it all comes down to our layering skills.              PrettyLittleThing Dress,  MissSelfridge Heels (Sold Out, Similar Here

Pleated Skirt:  Another fall trend I’m totally rooting for is the pleated skirt. It is such a cult classic wardrobe piece that can be worn for different seasons and very flattering on anyone, whether it’s a variation of animal print or a solid colour. Turn your sandals to boots and layer it with a blazer or a sweater  to stay warm during cooler days yet looking chic. I love this glossy rusty pink pleated skirt from Prettylittlething which is very soft to touch and I believe pink is truly a beautiful seasonless colour that can be matched with many different shades.PrettyLittleThing Pleated Skirt, Guess Crossbody bag (Sold Out, Similar Here, Pink Blazer and boots (old ones from H&M)
