Summertime is all about being carefree and comfy that should extend to your fashion choices too. Keeping simple yet looking chic is all what we need for summer. I mean why would you want to spend so much time agonising over your look when you could be out having fun in the sun? You wouldn’t, right? Luckily, the summer is made for effortless fashion choices and it is so easy to look completely amazing without having to put too much time and efforts into it - just check out these quick guidelines to help you achieve that effortless summer style: I've also shared Spring/Summer Classic Wardrobe Essentials on my previous post, if you haven't seen it, don't forget to check out HERE: Lighten Your Makeup Load: The first thing to remember is "less is more when it comes to makeup during Summer". Why? Because you might want to spend time hanging out on the beach, swimming in the water or catching some sun, and that can seriously melt your makeup and make you look way worse than you would have done without it. Not only that, but the extra sun can really help to give you some colour all of its own, and of course, the less time you spend doing the makeup the more time you have to enjoy the sunshine and chilled out barbecues. So, what makeup should you use in the summer? A good tinted moisturiser and a lip and cheek stain are really all you need to add some colour. If you like, add a decent waterproof mascara and you’ll be ready for anything. Tank Tops or Cropped Tops: When it comes to looking good effortlessly during summer is embracing cropped tops or tank tops. They go great with jeans, shorts and skirts, they can be layered to create a more interesting look, and they will help you to stay cool while you have fun in the sun. Ensure that you have a few of them in your wardrobe and you’ll always have something you can just throw on.Today you can find tons of matching sets or coords which can be worn either together or separately. This summer go for coords that has a cropped top something like I'm wearing, which I got from Shein.co.uk, Check out their website to find out more styles and colours that will help you create many chic summer outfits without breaking your bank account. More Maxi Dresses are Amazing: The floaty maxi dress has long been a summer staple and that’s because they have the ability to make you look cute, chic and laidback without the need for any other clothing. You can literally just throw one on in a couple of seconds and you’re ready to go - you don’t even have to shave your legs if you don’t have time because the maxi will hide a multitude of sins. Oh, they’re really cooling too. Team with a nice pair of sandals and an oversized straw hat for a really cute summer look. Oversized Sunnies are Oh So Awesome Want to add some instant cool and sophistication to your summer outfits? Pop on a pair of large sunnies in the style of Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O, and even the most basic of outfits will instantly look amazing. It really works! Rompers Rule: If you’re looking for summer clothing that is as effortless as it is versatile, look no further than the romper. The great thing about all-in-one outfits is that they are so easy to wear, and you can do pretty much anything from lounging on the beach to shopping at the local centre in them. You can also dress them up by adding heels of jewellery or keep them casual with flats, so you don’t have to worry about changing from daytime to evening. Gauzy Scarves are Good in the Evening Gauzy scarves are the perfect summer coverups because they are delicate enough that they won’t look too heavy when paired with your summer garb, but they are warm enough that, when it does get chilly, they will keep the breeze off, and they are so easy to wear wrapped around your hair or bag until you need them. Sneakers or Trainers are Simple and More Comfy: Although you’re probably going to want to have a pretty pair of sandals, some wedges and maybe some ballet flats to take you through the summer season, the one piece of footwear you won’t want to leave out if you want your summer style to be effortless, is a nice pair of canvas trainers like Converse, Because you can wear them with everything from jeans and shorts to maxi dresses, and they will look amazing but more importantly, because they are so comfortable, and if you’re going to be out and about more often in the summer, that’s exactly what you want. Shorts are Better with a Pattern: Shorts are perfect for throwing on when the weather is hot, because they always look cute, but you know what’s cuter than regular shorts? Patterned shorts! They add an extra element of style to any outfit, and when paired with a plain tank top or t-shirt, they look so effortlessly chic that people will wonder how you do it. Shacket to Me The shacket, as you might have guessed, is a cross between a jacket and shirt, which means that it is more lightweight than your average jacket and much easier to wear in the summer. Having one in your wardrobe, which you can wear over summer dresses and tank tops with jeans or shorts is essential if you want to keep those summer breezes at bay. It also helps to create a cool indie chick vibe. I suggest a khaki coloured shacket because they really do go with everything. Basic Bikinis are the Business Having a basic bikini in a classic colour that fits you well is a great way to get effortlessly ready for the beach. It will go with anything from shorts to kimonos so you won’t have to worry about having lots of swimwear on hand whenever the temperatures soar. Light Linens are a Lifesaver Last, but not the least, you may want to invest in some light linen trousers, tops or dresses. Because white reflects the light which helps to keep you cool and because linen is a natural fabric, it does not cause you to sweat so much, which means that you will always look cool, calm and comfy this summer. White is also pretty chic, I’m sure you’ll agree. Thank you very much for stopping by my blog, hope you enjoy it! When it comes to my classic essential pieces, I stick to neutral colours that can easy to blend with other colours. To be honest, it can be quite hard to narrow down to a few essential pieces as their are many choices in today's sartorial world, if you have the same question, I would suggest to find the pieces that suits your personality and are versatile which can be styled in many different looks. You can easily match stripes with different lively colours, prints and textures to upscale your outfit into a more creative and fun ensemble. Picture Courtesy:Death-by-elocution & tshirtxy.com Have you ever gone out and purchased a top, only to find that the neckline just doesn’t look right? This happens to a lot of people on a daily basis and it is something that a lot of people hate. After all, some necklines just don’t go well with any jewellery that you have and this can make it very difficult for you to accessorise. So here are a few guidelines on choosing the right necklines for you- The Ultimate Guide to Necklines and How to Own Them. Crew Neck The crew neck is also called a round neck. The best thing about this neckline is that it will really accent your face and it will bring out your shoulders. A crew neck is suitable for those who have a longer neck or if you have wider shoulders. They are also more suited to those who have a small to medium bust as well. Although crew neck t-shirts are very common in white, they do come in a huge range of other colours of your choice. The crew neck isn’t demanding at all and it can easily be paired with some smaller earrings or embellishment details. The look is very classic and ideal for anyone who just wants to dress casual. and chic. If you want something similar to a crew neck then consider checking out these Joseph Ribkoff tops so you can get some inspiration. Boat neck This style has a very wide neckline and it is known for passing under the collarbone. This can give you a much fuller midsection and it can also draw eyes to your shoulders. Boat necks are ideal for those who have a pear body shape and they are also great for those who have a small or medium bust. They are ideal if you have slender shoulders. Consider pairing it with a longer necklace or with a pendant. Oversized is the way to go when you are wearing a top or a jumper with a boat neckline and pair it with a high-waist trousers or skirt tucked-in. Button-up This is the ideal top if you want something classic and elegant. This kind of neckline looks great to almost anyone if you choose the right outfit, whether you have smaller or wider shoulders, curvy, a pear shape or athletic. However it can be styled easier if you are taller and more slender. Make sure to choose the right size that you can easily button up around your bust line. It is great if you want to go for a more masculine style. However, it can be styled in various ways for many different occasions. You can pair them with layered necklaces and they are also ideal if you want to pair it with a statement accessory such as a locket. So it’s more than possible for you to find a top that meets the needs of your outfit, and when you know what body shape you are, you can easily make the best fashion decisions. Leave me a comment what is your favourite neckline and why! Thank you very much for stopping by my blog, hope you enjoy it. Love Ashon
